ANGELA BOFILL

Angela Bofill - I met Angela Bofill in South Africa while on tour with Najee. Angela needed a band for her show and the core Najee's band was hired to do the show. The band ended up doing shows for both Angela and Najee for years! Angela was an amazing musician! A true artist. She had vocal clearity & improvisation, composition, stage presents & band command! Angela had a stroke in 2005. She could'nt sing but could talk. We created a new show called The Angela Bofill Experience! We did her hit songs and she told her story in spoken word to the audience between songs! Angie's hit songs were sung by other vocalist! (Melba Moore & Maysa).

I'll never forget knowing her & touring with her! She passed in 2023. I worked for Angela from 2001 - 2011. Below is a live sample of our performance at the Blues Alley, Washington, D.C.
